The Monsters Are Coming to Blackpool! Get Ready for a Spook-tacular Halloween

This autumn, Blackpool is preparing for a monstrous invasion as a collection of giant inflatable monsters take over the town’s rooftops. From October 28 to November 3, residents and visitors will be treated to a family-friendly Monster Hunt as part of Blackpool’s Halloween By The Sea celebrations.

The hilarious, eye-catching monsters will create an exciting trail from the Golden Mile to the town centre, lighting up the night as they glow in the dark. The trail, designed by renowned inflatable artists from Designs In Air, promises to be a fun-filled adventure for all ages.

Filthy Luker, one of the artists behind the monster designs, says: “Our motive is to make the world a softer, more surreal and colourful place, disrupting the mundane concrete world we live in. Our giant pop-up artworks are enjoyed by everyone who passes by – they might not be high art, but they are definitely high UP art!”

The Monster Hunt is a free event, with no tickets required. You can soon download a Monster Hunt map or collect one at the Tourist Information Centre opposite The Blackpool Tower.

This event, fully funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, is just one highlight of Blackpool’s thrilling Halloween By The Sea programme, which also includes:

  • Journey to Hell at Pleasure Beach Resort
  • Pumpkin Festival at Ridgeway Farm
  • Halloween Tails at Peter Rabbit Explore & Play
  • Circus of Horrors at The Globe
  • Sweeney Todd at Winter Gardens
  • A spooky Halloween Projection on the Tower building

Be sure to keep an eye out for more exciting Halloween activities in the lead-up to the big event.
