The Blackpool Business Improvement Districts Limited (BIDs) will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The meeting will take place at Newton Hall Holiday Park, Staining, FY3 0AX.
This meeting provides an opportunity for members and levy payers of the two Blackpool Improvement District areas to engage in vital discussions regarding the future direction of the BID. Key resolutions to be considered include:
- Approval of the minutes from the previous AGM held on November 7, 2023.
- Endorsement of updated Articles of Association recommended by the Board of Directors.
- Agreement to hold the BID renewal ballot for both the Town Centre and Tourism Business Improvement Districts, commencing October 30, 2025, with the close of the ballot on November 27, 2025.
- Receipt of the Company’s Financial Statements for the year ending March 31, 2024.
- Approval of the Company’s Annual Report.
- Re-appointment of John, Potter, and Harrison as accountants of the Company, with terms commencing from the conclusion of the meeting.
The AGM will be chaired by John Westhead, Chair of the Blackpool Business Improvement Districts Board.
Members entitled to attend and vote are encouraged to make their voices heard. Proxy appointments can be arranged by delivering a written appointment or via electronic communication to the Assistant Company Secretary.
