First Venues Announced for Blackpool Restaurant Week – and The List Keeps Growing

Blackpool’s food scene is about to take centre stage as the first wave of venues for the town’s debut Restaurant Week is revealed – and the list is still growing.

From local favourites to hidden gems, those already confirmed span a variety of cuisines and price points, giving visitors and locals the perfect excuse to eat their way around Blackpool. The event, running from Thursday, March 27 to Thursday, April 3, will showcase the town’s food and drink offering with exclusive menus and special deals throughout the week.

The first wave of participating venues has been revealed, offering a mix of well-established favourites and exciting newcomers. The White Tower at Blackpool Pleasure Beach is serving up refined dishes with stunning sea views, while The Upper Deck Bar & Grill is known for its hearty grilled specialities in a relaxed setting. Beach House joins the line-up with its coastal-inspired menu and prime location on the promenade, and Marco’s New York Italian at the Holiday Inn brings a taste of American-Italian comfort food to the town. With more venues set to be announced, the list is only getting stronger.

Blackpool Restaurant Week is an initiative led by Blackpool Town Centre and Tourism BIDs, designed to support local businesses and celebrate the town’s food and drink scene.

Jo Duff, Chair of the Town Centre BID, said: “We’re excited to see so many fantastic venues already signed up for Blackpool’s first Restaurant Week. This event is all about celebrating our town’s food scene, giving businesses a boost, and encouraging people to try somewhere new. Blackpool has a lot to offer when it comes to dining, and we can’t wait to see even more venues join the line-up.”

Sponsors of Blackpool Restaurant Week, including Lytham Festival and Blackpool and The Fylde College, have played a key role in making this initiative happen. The event is also part-funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, supporting Blackpool’s hospitality sector.

Chris Webb, Labour MP for Blackpool South, added: “Blackpool Restaurant Week is a brilliant way to put the spotlight on our hospitality sector and showcase the fantastic range of food and drink options available across the town. We’re encouraging as many businesses as possible to take part and make this a standout event for both residents and visitors.

“The event is bringing together hospitality venues across Blackpool, encouraging visitors to explore new places and giving businesses the chance to welcome new customers. The response from the hospitality sector has been fantastic, with even more venues expected to sign up in the coming days.”

Blackpool and The Fylde College is also playing a key role in the festivities. The week kicks off with a pre-launch event at Level 6, the college’s training restaurant, where guests can enjoy a ‘Best of British’ menu expertly prepared by students. Throughout the week, the college will host various events, including pop-up kitchens and food demonstrations, showcasing the skills of both students and local chefs. This collaboration not only highlights the college’s focus on hospitality education but also provides students with invaluable real-world experience.
