Visitors to Backlot Cinema and Diner can now head to and from evening screenings through Houndshill as the shopping centre opens for later for the first ever time.
Houndshill Shopping Centre will now remain open daily until 11pm, connecting Adelaide Street West through to Coronation Street, creating a direct route from the town centre through to the Backlot Cinema and Diner 7 days a week.
Emma Threlfall, Centre Manager, Houndshill Shopping Centre said: “The Backlot Cinema and Diner is an amazing destination for both locals and tourists and strengthens the offering of our town centre. We’re delighted to have opened up this direct route through to Backlot, providing visitors with easier access to/from screenings, as well as respite from the colder evenings.”
The Backlot Cinema and Diner opened in March 2024 and boasts the largest IMAX screen in the North West, alongside a 100-seat diner and two meeting rooms available to hire. Cinema-goers are now provided with easier access to see the latest Blockbuster releases, all-time classics, and live theatre screenings.
Fabio Vidotti, Business Manager, Backlot Cinema and Diner said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors back through our doors this year and this direct route makes it easier than ever to come and enjoy a cinematic experience that cannot be matched anywhere else in the North West.”
