Christmas Day is over, the presents have been unwrapped, and the New Year is nearly here, but Blackpool isn’t done with festive fun just yet.
There are still over a week to enjoy the lights, rides, shows, and seasonal magic, with activities running right through to Sunday, January 4th 2026.
Here’s how to make the most of the last sparkle before life gets back to normal.
Blackpool Illuminations
The seafront is still glowing with more than a million bulbs, larger-than-life tableaux and interactive features. From the fire-breathing dragons of Guardians of the North to the wildlife-inspired Wild Light section, there’s plenty to see. Take a stroll, hop on a tram or catch one of the Tower’s projection shows lighting up the night. Click here to see the switch-on times.
Christmas by the Sea
Tower Festival Headland has been transformed into a winter village complete with an outdoor skating rink, festive fairground rides, snowfalls and cosy cabins serving mulled wine, hot chocolate and treats. Glide across the 20-metre rink, soar on the Star Flyer or simply enjoy the snow cannons creating your own winter moment. Open daily from 12 to 9pm. Click here for more information.
Beauty and the Beast Pantomime
The Grand Theatre continues to bring festive cheer with its enchanting production of Beauty and the Beast. Marc Baylis charms as Hugo Pompidou, Steve Royle keeps the laughter flowing and Betty Legs Diamond dazzles as Dame Polly La Plonk. With relaxed and audio-described performances available, everyone can join in the fun. Tickets start from just £15. More information here.
Snowy’s Conservation Crew
At SEA LIFE Blackpool, Snowy is on a mission to help the animals of the North Pole. Families can follow an arctic-themed trail, discover incredible sea creatures and get stuck into hands-on challenges along the way. With plenty to learn and explore, it’s a brilliant seasonal adventure for little ones. Click here for more.
Meet Stick Man
The Gruffalo and Friends Clubhouse is welcoming children to meet Stick Man this Christmas. Expect dancing, playtime and storybook fun in a wintery setting full of festive charm. The Clubhouse Christmas Dance Party is perfect for energetic kids keen to squeeze in a final burst of Christmas excitement before term starts again. More information can be found here.
With so much still happening, there’s no need to rush back to routine just yet. From skating and rides to pantomime and trails, Blackpool has plenty to enjoy right through to Sunday, January 4th 2026.
